Turkey’s Exports to the UK Surpass $15 Billion
Turkey’s exports to the United Kingdom have exceeded 15 billion US dollars, highlighting the continued strength of trade relations between the two countries.
According to figures shared by the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly, exports to the UK reached approximately 15.1 billion dollars during the first 11 months of the year, marking a clear increase compared to the same period last year. The growth reflects strong demand from the British market and the competitiveness of Turkish products across multiple sectors.
Automotive, chemicals and industrial goods were among the leading sectors contributing to the rise in exports. Officials noted that many industries recorded steady growth, supported by close economic cooperation and stable trade channels between Türkiye and the UK.
Trade representatives emphasised that the UK remains one of Türkiye’s most important export markets. Ongoing efforts to expand production capacity, diversify products and strengthen commercial ties are expected to support further growth in the coming period.
The positive trade performance also aligns with expectations surrounding the modernisation of the UK–Türkiye trade framework, which is anticipated to create additional opportunities for exporters on both sides in the years ahead.
